This video clip was filmed a short time ago in the most intellectually advanced Boxing Club in the whole world. It is the Boxing home of Carl Frampton. Psalm144:1 Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
Ecc12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Behind The Scenes 1... Blatant cheating almost caught on video. I am mystified how I managed to make a mess of this video clip, it ended up I only caught a split second of the best part?
Behind The Scenes 2.....The Commentary Room
Behind The Scenes 3.......Still playing after almost 6 hours.
Behind The Scenes 4....Immediately before the start of the last round.
Behind The Scenes 5......Great poster emphasising the educational aspects linked to such events.
Ecc12:12 And furthermore, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
By my calculations the result of last night`s simulataneous Chess exhibition was a win by Nigel Short with a score of 32 wins and only 2 draws conceded. Calum Leitch and Soren Jensen being the only players to gain the draws. It looks like my calculations are wrong. Nigel Short is claiming 35 board with a score of 33 wins and 2 draws.
Tonight`s match ended with a victory by Lindores 3.5 to 1.5 Rookie`s Report *****************************************
1.GABOR HORVATH 1-0 RAY DEVENNEY
2.CALUM LEITCH 0-1 SAM FLANAGAN
3.ROSS HARRIS 0.5-0.5 BRUCE MacLEAN
4.FRED MACDONALD 1-0 JOHN BRYARS
5.RICHARD GOULD 1-0 MARTIN KELLY
TOTAL 3.5-1.5
+ BONUS 5.5-1.5
Our first defeat recently against the Big Three after 2 draws, but what could have “bean”!-well, it was a coffee shop!
As usual, Sam took a few “mug shots” before the match started-then, after videoing the coffee mugs, he took a video of the players as well!
There wasn’t “mocha” in the first game to finish, when Bruce and Ross drew in an opposite-coloured Bishops ending!
The other 4 games were “latte” to finish-in the first of these, I was hopeful of a result for John, but “I’m a fred not”!
Then, a close call as to which finished next-Ray going for a hat trick of victories instead fell for a hat trick of defeats this season by Gabor Horvath-a case of suffering G.B.H. FROM G.H.!
At the same time, Martin gave up a pawn for a massive attack, as he was “going for Gould”, but both players agreed he may have missed the winning move in time trouble and lost on time!
Finally, “Calamity Calum” got his King in severe trouble in a time scramble and “Sam in a jam” managed to deliver mate on g5!

I have been informed our away game against Lindores has been rescheduled for Monday night due to the Nigel Short simultaneus which takes place on Thursday night. The Ballynafeigh site has given this upcoming simultaneous display the title "GET SHORTY." Here is a video clip of last time Nigel Short was here in 2013.
I must get some video of Thursday`s exhibition. I have already selected a Hillbilly music track for the video. Here it is below.
Luke 14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sits not down first, and consults whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him that comes against him with twenty thousand?
Tonight`s league match with Muldoons was drawn. Rookie`s report is below. ****************************************
RAY DEVENNEY 1-0 DANNY MALLAGHAN SAM FLANAGAN 1-0 STEPHEN WOOD BRUCE MacLEAN 0-1 NICHOLAS PILKIEWICZ JOHN BRYARS 0-1 DES MORELAND MARTIN KELLY 0.5-0.5 BERNARD MCCAUGHEY (J.P.CORRIGAN 1-0 PATRICK MCCAUGHEY TOTAL 2.5-2.5 +BONUS 3.5-3.5
Having recently drawn with champions-elect Ballynafeigh 1, the A Team had another fantastic draw with second-place Muldoons 1 last night and top board Ray continued his winning streak…of two! As usual, Muldoons moved their top 4 boards around, so that their top seed Nick “nicked” a win on third board over Bruce, for whom it was a bitter “pil(l)kiewicz” to swallow!(Yes, I know…)!
Next to finish was captain Martin,”smartin’ “ from severe time pressure to sac a bishop and then a rook to force a draw with Bernie “the bolt” McCaughey! About the same time, the latter’s nephew Patrick lost on time to our new member J.P., who certainly didn’t suffer from the “jips”!
Things looked bleak when John was in a “daze” after Des Moreland was able to “land more” punches than John to leave the score 2.5-0.5! The comeback started when a “divine” spell from Devenney left Mallaghan feeling “tres mal again”! Sam clinched the match draw with a Queen sac which won a piece, which left Wood “bark”ing mad! Here is the video for the Him team. As it happens to be almost 12 minutes long I had to get extra Hillbilly music to fill the time frame. The Hillbilly music used is also used by the British Military as marching tunes.
Did you know there is a theory that bagpipes were used as worship instruments in the Temple built by King Solomon?
There is also a theory that Joseph`s "coat of many colours" was actually of tartan design?
Genesis 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.
4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.
Here is some of the video from Saturday night`s charity event. The backing tracks are Hillbilly music plus Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox.
This is the version for the "Her team." The seret of a good relationship between the sexes is found in the mysterious verses below,
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
