TONIGHT`S RESULT AGAINST LINDORES

Tonight`s result against Lindores was not the usual 3-2 defeat, it ended up a draw, which will please Fisherwick I am sure.
My game was the last finished so there is not much video.
Lindores are based in the Lindores Coffee House, it is a great venue to play Chess league matches.

I bought a book on this subject some time ago. The book is very entertaining, though I have not looked at it for some time.

Here is some video clips of last night`s Fisherwick match. Kelly`Heroes were also playing Bangor last night. Unfortunately they could only field 3 players and Bangor emerged the victors by a 5 nil margin.



Note, some of the video clips  were produced by none other than Michael Waters.  I think he wants to be a movie producer just like Jethro in the video below, don`t miss it from 3.15 on the time line of the Beverly Hillbillies. Hilarious!

RESULT AGAINST FISHERWICK

Tonight`s result was a win by Fisherwick 4.5 to .5

Here is an "optical illusion." At first glance the final position looks like it should be an easy win for white, however I have tried playing it out against Fritz this morning and lost as white.

How would you go about playing the final position as white, if you had to play for a win and had approx 5 minutes left?

On my laptop Fritz gives white an evaluation of .84 after Rxa5, I think an evaluation of .84 is pretty meaningless at my level.
