Since the stories about Wesley So have brought the topic of theology to the fore, there is an interesting theological point which most people are unaware of. As far as Wesley So is concerned, I do not believe he is a genuine Christian at this point in time. However, there is great hope for him, as he has stated he reads the Bible everyday, if this is the case, then it is most likely God will lead him into true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Unknown to the general public, Billy Wright did at one time in his life make a public profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His undoing seems to have been his faulty theological notions.
Due to the political turmoil which was caused by the Anglo Irish Agreement in 1985, Billy Wright seems to have gotten it into his head that God needed his help "to save Ulster????" He is said to have abandoned his profession of faith and returned to the extremely murky world of Loyalist para-militarism. Eventually he became a thorn in the side of the British government, so they had him put in jail, where he was conveniently murdered! Incidentally this was not any old jail, this was reported to be the most secure prison in Europe. The then PM John Major asked "Loyalist" spokesmen what they intended to do about Billy Wright? David Blunderman Ervine told John Major, "Billy Wright is your problem." If it is true that Billy Wright had once made a genuine profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, then God will ensure that those who carried out his murder will reap the full consequences of what they have sown, John Major in particular! My friend Russell Goodfellow, was confronted with b3 against the Sicilian, in his last game of the Major tournament. I was aware that Andrew Martin had produced a video on the line and I managed to find it.

A few years ago I played in the Gibraltar Challengers and had an opponent who played this as white. I had the luxury of knowing this before the game but there was so little information about this line, so I was unable to prepare well enough and I lost the game. Not sure if there is a name for this white line? My current Dbase by Chessbase has quite a few games in this line from the years 2015/16. Looks like it is growing in popularity. Game 5 in the series of Fritz rated games, turned out to be the sort of game every chess player enjoys. Get an advantage from the opening and increase the advantage to a win, without having to suffer any narrow escapes. After 10 games against Fritz rated 2290 the score was 7.5 to 2.5 in my favour. The result is skewed as the programme reset itself after the first 5 games. This means I had 6 whites and 4 blacks out of the ten games, instead of 5 white and 5 black. My main resources for playing the Nf6 line have been books. I have Anti-Sicilians A guide for Black by Dorian Rogozenko. Plus I picked up a cheap second hand book in the Chess shop on Euston road a few years ago, as I was in transit through London. It is "c3 Sicilian" by Joe Gallagher. Although it is written for playing as white, it is also useful for those playing the black pieces. An excellent resource for Anti-Sicilians is the DVD by Danny King.
Danny King gives a very good line for black against the c3 sicilian, though it is not the one I played in the game. I have played it on a number of occasions against the computer programme with good results.
The reason I did not play it in the game above is very simple. I am not going to let all the members of the UCU know what lines I am playing, as I will be facing them in league games. At the moment my ambition is to increase the grading strength of the Fritz rated mode up to 2400 within the next few months. It will be interesting to see how I fare against it at stronger levels.

Following on from the last post containing the "Sicilian Passion Killer." Here is a rated game I played against Fritz earlier today. As you can see it really does play the line from the video as white. I doubled on move 30 and it resigned. I took the easy way out because I was getting tired, at the time I was not quite sure of the best way to continue.
The game setting was one hour for each side.

In my experience with Fritz 13 this line as white is often played when I am playing it using the "Rated Games" feature. So this is a useful video for me.
