CHESS IS THE NAME OF THIS GAME

A local "journalist" has used a Chess analogy to try and explain  "The real world."
Here is the link, "CHESS IS THE NAME OF THIS GAME"

"Sacrificing your pawns, whether they be the lives of serving police officers whose personal details were exposed in the Castlereagh raid or low level IRA volunteers exposed and killed to cover up a much bigger agent, are part of the classic amoral moves of state/spy craft. Chess is the name of this game."

Proverbs 20:18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

CHESS PROFESSIONALS

Just saw this interesting article by Nigel Davies and have to say, I fully agree with it. Without the information provided by "Chess professionals," people like me would know even less than I know now.

A while ago I joined Nigel Davies Online Training Club. It is very good value and there is lots of useful, practical and well organised advice to be found there.

As the site is copyright protected I cannot give you any examples, but you can look it up yourself and see if you think it is worth a trial.

Here is a link to the Home Page.

Just discovered another piece of Copyright protected stuff on the internet, as a matter of fact it must the the most closely monitored item on the internet.

It is a piece of music called, "Pretend You Don`t See Her." Attempts to post it are taken down in seconds.

You can hear it at the start of this LP.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

BETTER THAN LAST WEEK

Tonight`s result was a big improvement over last week.  South Belfast scored 41/2 against Bangor.

No more league games until after the holidays.

Matthew 2:16 - Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

CAR CRASH RESULT

South Belfast were heavily defeated by 4 points to 1 in tonight`s match. The visitors to the Bankers club played well and deserved their victory.

The last  game was an interesting ending where the white pieces relentlessly went after a win.  The video shows the white Queen penetrating behind the enemy lines.

Penetrating behind enemy lines was a tactic used by Joshua, the phrase "liers in wait" is used to describe the ambushers.

1. Ray Devenney V Steve Scannel 0-1
2. Sam Flanagan V John O`Doherty 1/2
3. Bruce McClean V Brendan Jamison 0-1
4. John Bryars V Damien Lavery 0-1
5. William Storey V Chris Kelly 1/2

Joshua 8:13 And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.
